MRC Joins Start Network for Climate Resilience

MRC has been accepted as a member of the Start Network, enabling faster emergency response funding for climate-affected communities in Balochistan.

This membership allows MRC to access rapid-response funding mechanisms, strengthening our capacity to deliver timely humanitarian assistance during floods, droughts, and other climate emergencies across the province.

Malala Fund Partnership Announced

MRC has partnered with the Malala Fund to expand girls' education access in underserved districts of Balochistan.

The partnership will support curriculum development, teacher training, and community engagement initiatives aimed at increasing enrollment and retention of girls in government schools.

15 Students Awarded DIL Scholarships

Fifteen students from MRC's programs have been awarded scholarships through the Developments in Literacy (DIL) program for higher education.

These scholarships cover tuition, books, and living expenses, enabling talented young women from Khuzdar and surrounding areas to pursue university education for the first time in their families.

Education Champions Program Expands to Kalat

The Education Champions initiative, training local advocates for girls' education, has expanded from Khuzdar to Kalat District.

Twenty new Education Champions have been recruited and trained in community mobilization, advocacy, and basic education facilitation, bringing the total network to 41 active champions across two districts.

Youth Advisory Group Established

MRC has established a Youth Advisory Group to ensure young people's voices shape organizational decisions and program design.

The group comprises 12 young leaders from across MRC's programs who will provide input on strategy, review new initiatives, and represent MRC at regional forums.

MRC Water Advocacy Project Launched

A new water advocacy project has been launched to address clean water access in drought-affected communities of Khuzdar District.

The project combines infrastructure repair of existing water sources with community-based water management committees, ensuring sustainable access to safe drinking water for over 5,000 households.
