From Asking “Why Not Me?” to Asking “Why Not Us?”
“When I was ten, I looked at the sky and thought, ‘Why not me?’ Today, I look at the girls around me and ask, ‘Why not us?’ I want to dream big, but make sure there is more space for other girls to dream big with me.”
Growing up in Khuzdar, Aleena turned a childhood fascination with space into grassroots youth action. Supported by Science Fuse and MRC Balochistan, she found her voice in STEM, led climate resilience activities after the 2022 floods, and learned that creating change is about creating space for others to speak for themselves.
At fifteen, she authored her first book, She Built Her Own Legacy (June 2026). Now sixteen, she is exploring computer science and cybersecurity while opening doors for girls across rural Balochistan.
